RAWRRRR!
It is me =)

(Scared you =) ) its not really Me, its Rosie.

I decided i really should write another one of these blog thingie-majigs, as im terrible at forgetting about them and i just remembered. And today was kinda good =)

I woke up at 6.22 am (which is incidentally the number of my Core 1/2 textbook.. i notice these things.. my other one spells lol=) ), which in itself was not particularly out of the ordinary, except then i opened my curtains. Apart from the fact that my neighbor probably got a damn good look at my vair fetching cloud print pyjamas, another very startling occurrence occurred. IT SNOWED!
I was vair suprised, and i did a little snow dance (which must have amused my neighbor even more than the pj's ) and then promptly went and told my parents i wasnt going to school. They, however, disagreed with my conclusion and hence i very reluctantly showered, dressed and ate my customary chocolate spread on toast (i cant concentrate on calories that early in the morning XD ). I was all ready to go when the phone went.. and it was our friend.. and she said the bus wasnt running. And then when i passed the phone over she said the same thing to my parents (they didnt believe me first time, fools XD ) And then i did a snow dance for about 5 minutes flat out. Which was most tiring but entertained my family most successfully.

Yarp. But after the mornings excitement silly billy and i decided to meet up... And i decided i would ski. I've never used cross country ski's before.. the hills were terrifying! But it managed to make it 3 miles without dying, which was quite an achievement. And it was all good. And i made billy ski cross country on the way back XD Yarp. And then we made a cake, with sprinkles. And all was goood =)

Sorry this was bad. Its snow madness =)

Particle Physics gives me a Hadron.

Whos a naughty girl then?!
Im thinking... hannah? ( I think the naughtiest thing she ever did was not look left again after looking left and right.. and that was only once)
=P meh. Me of course. I have the best intentions, just a serious lack of motivation that accompanies them, making it hard for the intentions to become actions.
Oh.

Today has been fun.
Had maths first thingie, twas pretty shizz, unless you enjoy feeling like you're about to start hyperventilating when you realise you actually know zero mechanics. Saying that i bet i'll get 90% now (touching a whole desk of wood at this point) Um Um Um.. I even have a speech impediment when i type.. thats going some!
But yes. After maths i went to Wisbech CBD (good old geography!) to catch the bus. If you ever suffer from low self esteem take a trip into Wisbech, must say it works wonders. Would also be good if you were considering underage sex. (stop rape, just say yes)(honestly officer, when she said 'Nein', i thought she was telling me her age!) Yarp.. and a man in a shiny gray coat followed me off the bus. I wasnt scared about the fact he was around 60, rather hairy, sweaty and unclean looking and also following me, it was the appalling fashion sense that really scared me. Luckily i had brandy butter cake to eat on the bus (apparantly i wasnt meant to make quadruple quantities of the stuff for christmas =P.. following my dads special, just tip the whole bottle in, measuring technique) , so i was nice and mellow =P
Yarp. And then i stood in a bus shelter getting smiled at by odd men on bycycles (no matter how hard he tried to persuade me, i refused to accept it was 'Hug a freak' day =P) (no seriously.. he wasnt that weird.. he just smiled.. i had my bag ready anyways XD) and scared by old women with shopping trolleys. (you could hide anything you wanted in one of those things.. Uzi, Body of Mr and Mrs next-door's cat, out of date custard creams..) untill my silly father came to pick me up. Its not enough that he leaves to go skiing with his friends today (unfair and a half) .. he had to leave me standing in the cold too. Meh!
And this afternoon i've made chocolate and hazelnut torta for tommorow nights 'mothers and daughters sleepover'. It was my mothers idea, is all i can say =P

Particle Physics gives me a Hadron. Thankyou to Mr Jack for that thought.

Pilates tonight..Yay!.. still havnt recovered from Badminton on tuesday.. i think i pulled every single muscle in the right side of my body XD

Have funn =)
Just know i will. Chocolate, Champagne and Chickflicks..(and the scary possibility of mothers in pyjamas).. what could be better?!

I can ride my bike with no handlebars

I'm naughty. I didnt write. I know.
But onwards and upwards. To the blog!

Ok. Was listening to the song entitled 'Handlebars' by the flowbots.. and i was thinking.. hey i like this song.. for one, but also.. wow a song that actually means something for once.

Lyrics
I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars
-
Look at me, look at me
hands in the air like it's good to be
ALIVE
[...]
I can tie a knot in a cherry stem
I can tell you about Leif Ericson
And "I'm Proud to be an American"
Me and my friend saw a platypus
Me and my friend made a comic book
And guess how long it took
[...]
-
Look at me
Look at me
[...]
I can design an engine sixty four
Miles to the gallon of gasoline
I can make new antibiotics
I can make a computer survive aquatic conditions
I know how to run a business
And I can make you wanna buy a product
Me and my friends understand the future
I see the strings that control the systems
I can do anything with no assistance
-
Cause I can lead a nation with a microphone
-
And I can split the atoms of a molecule
-
Look at me
Look at me
Driving and I won't stop
And it feels so good to be
Alive and on top
My reach is global
My tower secure
My cause is noble
My power is pure
I can hand out a million vaccinations
Or let'em all die from exasperation
Have'em all healed from their lacerations
Or have'em all killed by assassination
I can make anybody go to prison
Just because I don't like 'em
And I can do anything with no permission
I have it all under my command
-
Because I can guide a missile by satellite
-
And I can hit a target through a telescope
-
And I can end the planet in a holocaust
In a holocaust
-
I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars...

Ok..
so it basically starts of with the childishness that is attempting to ride ones bike without holding on to ones handlebars. At the time it would seem like a bit of childish fun, a silly game that they'll eventually 'grow out of'. Then the song continues.. the task that they can do with ease growing in severity until the final verse ' i can end the planet in a holocaust..'. But what i love about it is how it proves once you let one thing slip, then its just human nature to continue pushing the boundaries. How, letting your son get away with hitting his sister aged 4, putting it down to a bit of childish silliness, would lead to him becoming an abuser in the future. Ok, an extreme example, but still. It perfectly encaptures the arrogance of the average 8 or 9 year old, fancying themselves to be all grown up, and big enough to be above the laws laid down by his mother.
Its to do with pride, the hubris so commonly found in modern life. I think it shows how as we've started to understand how the world works better we've started to gain power over it, to be able to exploit it for our own uses. Now that we understand more (how to split the atoms of a molecule for example), just like the 8 year old, we think we're above its laws, we think that we can mess with the earth and its just going to let us, i guess.
Its about sin, the overwhelming sense of power and ownership that we have now, that causes us to think that we have power over the earth, and that its our right to 'play God'. We didn't think about the possible consequences of riding with no handlebars, just as now we don't think about the possible consequences of using our 'weapons of mass destruction'. We developed these things, but for what? What was the point of pushing the boundaries of science that far, that in under an hour the entire planet could be wiped out. Wouldn't it have been better if we'd respected the world, let nature run its course without feeling the need to interfere. In the end pride, the same pride that leads one to boast about being able to ride a bike without handlebars, leads to the destruction of the world. Has pride taken us too far?
I think its easy to take the song at face value, the catchy lyrics, the nice rhythm. Its way too easy to overlook what lies underneath, lyrics that tell of one of the seven deadly sins and what this humans are capable of under its influence.

The past two weeks..

Have been very very busy. Not that i'm making any excuses.. because as Mr Forest knows.. excuses are very very wrong =P Even wronger than being too busy to update the few very lovely people who bother to read my blog. Hence, it is entirely my fault, and i shall learn that being busy is a bad idea, and in future i should sit around all day and do nothing, in order that i should be able to update you. Not that there would be much to update on, if in fact that was what i did. An example entry could read ' Today i sat on the sofa. I then lay on the sofa for a couple of hours. I picked small pieces of lint off the sofa, which was a very consuming task, and then i went to bed. All in all quite a productive day =P'

But yes. Many apologies are extended to those who DO have the time to read my blog, as well as update your own.. but mostly.. what on earth are you up to?! Get out here and help me!

Uhuh.
The past 2 weeks have been rather busy, as i must have said at least 3 times already.. i cant be bothered to count them. Perhaps if you have the time you could =P
2 fashion shows, 2 concerts, and rather more than 2 pieces of homework unfortunately.
Fashion shows went well. Had so many sleepless nights over all of the possible mishaps that could occur.. I was completely paranoid someone was going to fall down the steps and break their neck.. but luckily nothing more devastating than an off putting fallen off beret occurred =P Keiran and i decided that we learnt more about stress putting on those fashion shows than we ever did in silly Study Skills. Honestly... a quiz to find out how stressed out you are?!.. any sensible person could work out what finding out that you were at high risk of strokes due to your dangerous levels of stress is likely to do to your stress levels!
Ooh.. Highlight of today.. Billy's surprise. Honestly i was expecting a still warm dog dirt lovingly posted through my letter box... but what i got was even betterer than that.. if its possible =) No guy's ever sent me flowers before.. vair cute =) 'He's a keeper' according to my parents =P I'm guessing that's a compliment. If so should 'he's a striker' be an insult?!

Quote of the day.. in shortened form
'Han on choosing AS English ' you'd have to be poor, desperate, stupid..' Keiran 'I thought you took English Hannah'

I do have lots more to write.. I'm sure of it. However right now i am going to bed.
Because i'm cool =)

Today.

Today.
Not Yesterday.
Today.

It was quite interesting today. And im not even being sarcastic! For once!

But yes.
It started with period one choir rehearsal. I honestly have a rather horrible throat infection thingie and i can barely sing.. which is all rather in keeping with the whole alto 'we just stand there and look impressive, but we dont actually sing' mentality. I do love my choir section XD
Period 2. Speech day prize giving rehearsal. Absolute waste of time... i just hope i dont fall over on the stairs. Touching wood. A whole desk full!
Period 3. Remembrance Service thing in the hallway.. Was very impressed to be the chosen one from our year.. Wonder how i got that dubious honour? But yeh.. it was a nice service, and mr munns read a nice poem, and we got cake =) It was quite good really!
Actually managed to do my correct lessons for Periods 4 and 5
and then it was the excitement of the junior school fashion show rehearsals.
They were so cute.. except when they were dissing our hats.. seriously! they've barely stopped wetting the bed at night and now they think themselves expects on all things millinery.. i almost trod on their heads.
Except that would have been child abuse. And i could have got the company sued. If not i would have XD
Oh..
but then came the most.. interesting.. part of the day.

I was just putting away the massive screens we borrowed for the models to stand behind before coming out onto the catwalk with Keiran. I said 'Keiran.. wheres the light switch', as i entered the darkened area to the left of the stage. 'On the right' replied Keiran. Hence following my good friend Mr Keirans advice i used my bicep and tricep muscles, amongst others, to extend my arm and bash my hand in a vaguely right direction to try to turn them on. Initially when my hand connected with the rubber i thought..'oh this is an odd light switch.. must be one of those rubber covered special ones we have at home for outside'. Then the bell started ringing. And it went on, and on.. and on.. and didn't stop. And my initial thought when i realised this was ' Oh ( insert every possible rude word in every language) '
I've never ran as fast as i did to get to Reception to find Mr A and Mr H and tell them to cancel the fire brigade (they honestly had to because of the instant call out thing we have!)

Apologies to any inconvenience caused to those involved.

Please dont laugh at me =P
Hannah thinks they should put up a special plaque, a sort of 'sinners' list for every dumb ass reject who's set the fire bells off. She's so lovely.

I dont think Mr A or H is going to forgive me in a long time =P

Only me.

Edward is a naughty skiving whatsit

Ok.. alright, i did tell edward i was going to take back my nice blog post about him, as he is a blatent skiver and left me all on my lonesome on Wednesday so that he could wait for his Xbox to arrive.. but frankly that would just be boring. Almost as boring as my Wednesday was, thanks to him. All i could say for about 10 minutes after he told me he'd 'just happened' to feel ill on the day when his beloved xbox returned home from its trip to Germany was ' I cant believe you did that to me!'
Seriously. He is off my xmas present list, and cards too. Not that i send either.. but its the thought that counts!

Yes.
What can i tell you about today?
It was a Thursday, of that much im sure.
That was about all i could remember at around 10.03 this morning when i was sitting in the Russel hall doing maths challenge. Honestly.. I forgot that 1948 was 60 years ago not 50.. and i forgot that pythagoras doesnt work on any triangle you fancy. Overall, i think my maths challenge performance could be described as obismal, and i may refuse to aknowledge that it was infact me who took the challenge when the results get posted tommorow. One can only hope that Mr Howes is nice enough to tell me my appalling result in person rather than posting it up outside the maths room. Yet even i know the chance of this is approximately 1 in 4528176.. or so =P

Yes. What else.. oh i took the poppies round with Hannah.. you know the ones for Rememberence Sunday? Seriously.. people would have denied even knowing they existed if they could have.. I've never known people be so tight when giving to charity! Managed to restrict access to pins only to those i thought i could trust not to cause damage with them. Ie. Less than half, seeing as the first thought that seems to come into a guys head when both him and a friend are given a pin each for their poppies is 'Cor.. we can use these as mini swords.. AWESOME!' =P
Correct me if you think thats not a good idea guys XD

Well i'm going to Pilates now.
I may have to write more when i get home. Atleast I find my writing compelling =P

Have fun!
Oh and..
18 =P

Mr Edward.

Ok. So this is my entry in order to appease Mr Edward, as he has been mortally offended by my rudeness about him, and to prove that i am eternally sorry. Also he bet me i couldnt =P

Ok. So this is Edward.. what have we done.. ( i shall refrain from misquoting any more john lennon songs in future blogs, i promise). Edward is of the male variety, or so he expects me to believe. He owns many rather cool geek tshirts, a fact i am rather jealous of, though i still dont understand the one with the luminous hearts on =P He also has some rather nice glasses, which are most enjoyable to steal, though to be able to see through them you have to go cross eyed.. which is apparently very amusing for all involved. Mr Edward is the master of quote of the day, and in fact holds the record (much as Meg holds my wecord) for the largest number of consecutive quotes of the day. He is the pioneer of such excellent chat-up lines as 'step into my closet and i'll show you my narnia', 'you must be tired, because you've been running round my head all night... screaming' and 'does this smell like chloroform to you?' , coming to a social event near you soon! Edward's long list of achievements also includes the hit single, 'My name is Edward'.. which was most popular in Wisbech, due to its lack of words to remember, always useful when you lack enough brain cells to realise a crisp packet is not going to work as a form of contraception.. 9 months too late =P Edward is a firm believer (ooh er) in the age old tradition of Innuendo Monday, which in both his and my opinion 'make mondays the best day of the week'. He is also a keen member of a top secret cult which meets on a Wednesday lunchtime in the drama room, members are invited, but the group takes no responsibility for loss of limbs whilst partaking in initiation tasks.
All in all Mr Edward is a rather dashing chap, with a rip roaring sense of humour, and a total lack of morals which makes him most entertaining, though of course he's not as good at maths as either Rosie or Jimmy =P Available for weddings, funerals and bar mitzvahs.
